This is a key global role in the development and management of Technology and Innovation Products and Technologies Portfolio for Polymer Applications & Recycling. The roles offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge sustainable technologies to create a sustainable future, work with and lead a multidisciplinary and passionate team within a diverse technical and cultural environment and work closely with customers to understand and meet their needs.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Polymer applications and recycling initiatives, aligning with Chemtech’s growth ambitions

  • Technology & Innovation Activities:

  • Design of novel and differentiating polymer processes, equipment, bio/polymer products and recycling technologies, ensuring alignment with market needs, for commercialization and intellectual property creation.

  • Support Chemtech Business Units with customer trials at various Pilot lines (such as DEVO & AIDA) to enable Equipment/Plant Sales (0-2 years).

  • Develop and improve existing processes and applications to deliver our Projects on time (2-7 years)

  • Discovery to support design of solutions meet the challenges in future (> 7 years)

  • Intellectual Property Portfolio Management:

  • Broaden our licensing portfolio with new Intellectual Properties

  • Management of the Budget & Resource Allocation

  • Team leadership and development:

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers

  • Care for health and safety of own team, manage risk assessments and change in work environment

  • Leading and developing a team, including hiring and performance management

  • Manage the relevant budgets associated with the team and the strategic initiatives

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Expertise (e.g., professional, technical): Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Biopolymers, Formulations and Product development, Multi project management and Mentoring.

  • Education: Level: Doctorate Subject: Chemistry or other relevant subject

  • Languages: English is essential / other languages are an advantage

  • Soft skills: Intrapreneurial, Reflective leadership, Communication and Agility.
