Abbott Process Lead - Early/Late rotating in Witney, United Kingdom

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Lead to join our Strip Manufacturing team based at our state of the art site in Witney. This is a shift working role on an Early/Late rotating pattern.

The Opportunity:

Developing, leading and motivating your team, you will ensure quality, yield and output deliverables, maintain and champion EHS initiatives, and drive 5s and process improvements. On a day to day basis, you will take ownership for your area, acting as a representative at daily meetings, reporting on metrics, escalating issues, and coordinating between teams. You will support the daily walk-around activities, interacting with quality, engineering, and other relevant support functions as required.

The primary focus of your work will involve:

  • Coordinate the efficient and timely manufacture of quality products in line with the production schedule to meet volume and mix metrics of customer demand.

  • Work closely with support groups such as Engineering, Facilities, Technical to ensure that equipment, environment and materials are always available to support production schedule.

  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives whilst providing encouragement, motivation and support to team members.

  • Lead and motivate team through all day to day work activities, including but not limited to overseeing holidays/absence management, performance reviews, team training and development, and success recognition

  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Abbott standards by adhering to EHS systems, programmes and procedures, being accountable for the Health & Safety of themselves and others and by highlighting where improvements to EHS performance can be made.

About You:

To be successful, you will bring experience of and be passionate about leading teams, and delivering results - we are looking for someone with passion to lead a team, growing their individual and team success. You will bring exemplary communication, organisation and time management skills. Previous experience of working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred (including experience of GLP and GMP), but consideration will be given to those with other practical based backgrounds. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a regulated environment.
