We are currently seeking a Professional Services Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of Professional Services Consultants that are accountable for the delivery of customer engagements within the European region. The Professional Services Manager will collaborate with internal departments at IDBS, customers, and partners to assure success service delivery excellence.

This is a can be delivered on a remote basis (with a minimum 2 days a week - Wednesday and either Tuesday or Thursday) on site. Additional travel to the office or customer sites may be required dependent on business needs.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Professional Service Delivery Assurance: Oversee a portfolio of Professional Services engagements within the region, ensuring high-quality and impactful outcomes are delivered to customers as defined in contractual agreements.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure engagements follow the GPS Quality Management System, applying appropriate governance to achieve successful results and high-quality delivery.

  • Continuous Improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including financial and customer satisfaction measures, and proactively manage any issues that arise.

  • Project Resourcing: Collaborate with the GPS and wider IDBS organization to ensure adequate resourcing of engagements, whether through internal resources or partner organizations.

  • People Leadership: Lead and manage a team of consultants within the region, including setting and measuring performance goals for associates; Foster associate engagement and develop consulting associates through onboarding, skills development, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Financial Management: Take accountability for engagement revenue and profitability; monitor financial aspects, staying within budget and contributing to overall profitability.

  • Professional Services Business Development: Collaborate with commercial associates to identify and secure professional services engagements; Develop proposals and statements of work aligned with customer business goals, while driving profitability targets and contributing to regional revenue goals.

Here is what success in this role looks like:

  • A degree or equivalent work experience in business, management, or a related discipline.

  • Prior experience in a professional services or consulting role, preferably in a managerial or leadership capacity

  • Demonstrated experience managing customer engagements, ensuring successful delivery and achieving customer satisfaction

  • Strong financial management skills, including the ability to track and manage project budgets, profitability and revenue targets

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on driving results.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft and Atlassian tools for Professional Services

  • Relevant life sciences/ pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred
