About the Opportunity:

Do you have experience in managing permit systems on construction sites in the nuclear industry? Is compliance and attention to detail some strong characteristics that best describe you? We are currently looking for a Permit Manager to join the construction team working on the MMF project.

Here’s what you’ll need :

The role will be providing technical & organisational input while assisting the MMF project with setting out, planning and supervision.

Further responsibilities are:

  • Prepare compliance audit data by compiling and analysing any internal and external information.

  • Ensure all required documentation relating to is saved / uploaded as required, including service reports from engineers and vendors.

  • Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.

  • Carry out regular mini audits on compliance documentation to ensure all service reports are received in good time and report on overdue / imminently due PPMs / Reactive.

  • Monitor planned and due dates to ensure statutory compliance levels are maintained at all times, with any breaches identified to the Construction Manager.

  • Maintain Permit to Work information / statistics.

  • Review safe systems of works to ensure compliance with legal and client.

  • Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality Assurance.

Essential:

  • Recognised qualification to at least BTEC, ONC or HNC level for Civil Engineering.

  • Ideally hold an QSHE/Health and Safety Certification (IOSH etc).

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be well organised with good task management skills, who can communicate effectively (written & verbal) and be able to operate independently.

  • Proficiency in using permit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge and awareness of the nuclear industry.

  • You will ideally hold a NEBOSH Certification.
