Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the finance industry, located in Woodland Hills, California. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in the management of various business, personal, and financial affairs.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports adhering to GAAP standards.
• Administer the general ledger and ensure its accuracy.
• Record and reconcile various financial transactions such as interest, dividends, sales, purchases, and payroll to the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
• Prepare and submit quarterly sales tax returns, annual business and agricultural property statements, annual city business licenses, permits, and other financial reports.
• Handle corporate activities including the preparation and submission of California Statements of Information and Delaware Corporate Reports.
• Manage DMV registrations of the vehicle fleet.
• Oversee telephone, internet accounts and multiple credit card accounts.
• Assist in collating documents for entity tax return preparation.
• Review and monitor payroll postings to the general ledger, manage medical insurance payments and postings between entities, and handle Cal Savers and Cobra activity.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Business management Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or in the field of finance and accounting.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems to streamline financial operations.
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounting Functions such as financial reporting and general ledger.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Proficiency in handling Billing Functions, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct software for managing accounting and financial processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Demonstrated experience in Business Management, with a focus on financial oversight and strategy.
