Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Woodridge, Illinois. This role is integral to our team, as you will be managing day-to-day accounting and administrative requirements. The industry we operate in is fast-paced and rapidly growing, making this a dynamic and exciting role.

Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions and complete the posting process

• Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts monthly

• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll

• Prepare financial reports by collecting and summarizing data

• Assist with filing, data entry, and managing correspondence

• Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and provide customer support

• Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments

• Maintain office supplies and place orders as necessary

• Assist in preparing reports

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks to perform accounting functions

• Handle billing functions and cash activity

• Enter invoices accurately and efficiently Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting Assistant role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites is essential

• Demonstrated understanding of accounting functions and principles

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing functions and cash activity management

• Proven ability to enter and manage invoices accurately and promptly

• Experience in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
