Here's What You'll Get To Do
As the Estimating Manager for our Metal systems, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the implementation and completion of all estimation activities within the assigned location(s)/region, including coaching and developing the Estimation team to meet company standards and goals. This position can be both player and coach to ensure that the team is delivering quotes in an accurate and timely manner to meet our customer expectations, support our production capacities and allow us to win in the market.
Ensure detailed estimates are provided to our customers in a timely manner (within 24 hours). Drive accuracy within the team to work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs. Follow up on estimates and provide feedback concerning market pricing levels.
Provide excellent customer service on all orders, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction
Work with operations to ensure that all proper inventory is in stock to service customers in an ever-changing market
Oversee the consultation, coordination, and support to our customers, sales force and internal OBE teams.
Monitor the creation of cost proposals for customers based on take-offs, using our price book or vendor quoted pricing and computer software.
Collaborate with regional operations, regional estimating manager, and finance to set margin/pricing/metric targets for the team and ensure they are achievable and align with company strategy.
Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, demonstrate empathy, and be an advocate for the customer.
Ensure the team builds and maintains a broad knowledge of clients, products, and services of the organization.
Communicate, manage, and motivate the estimation team to achieve their goals. Provide training to the team to improve their skills and knowledge.
Coordinate and collaborate with other regions and peers in establishing best in class estimation practices and processes.
Ensure accurate data entry of phoned, faxed, and e-mailed quotes and orders in accordance with cut off times and other time constraints that may exist.

Solid working knowledge of fabrication and glazing installation. Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications to provide estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions. Solid knowledge using computer systems and technology-based platforms. Ability to solve complex problems. Prior experience overseeing and leading teams a plus.
What We're Looking For Bachelor's Deg ee or equivalent work experience preferred 5+ years of experience in curtain wall and storefront estimating preferred Able to read plans and specifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience with a Customer Resource Management tool preferred Experience working with large, complex organizations preferred Results oriented, ensuring we deliver on existing commitments while also working to continuously improve relations with customers. Strong written and verbal communications skills to all levels of an organization Deep attention to detail Solid organizational and interpersonal skills Self-starter approach Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook) Up to 25% travel may be required
