Works under general supervision and may make some work procedural decisions which do not contravene policies; generally, determines work sequences (which task comes first) within any department/divisional guidelines. Executes processes relating to recruitment of prospective students. Utilizes systems, such as YSU PenguinPulse, to support experiential learning opportunities for students. Manages processes that celebrate student success on social media, honors publications, and marketing materials. Position Information Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides input into assigned area's policies and procedures as it relates to completion of work and/or provision of services. Prepares reports and other information/documentation to assist the supervisor in strategic planning of the assigned area. Ensures the day-to-day functionality and assists administrators in the general oversight of the assigned area's operations and services as related to any assigned program, initiative, or objective. Directs and/or coordinates daily tasks related to one or more assigned components of a department's/division's overall programs and/or services including social developing media presence across SHC & Experiential Learning & Engagement division on all platforms, curating and posting content and engaging with audiences. Directs the prospective student visit process by scheduling and staffing visits and preparing materials prior to each visit. Meets with prospective students and families. Creates and updates events on the YSU PenguinPulse system for campus groups and community partners as needed. Supports community engagement initiatives and specific projects. Maintains records and executes plan for Penguin Prep Program recruitment, program marketing, and planning programming. Assists director with development of CCP in Honors and Early College in Honors programs, including recruitment of students, tracking student progress, and generating reports. Curates student success stories and implements systems to share across various platforms, including social media, honors magazine, and publications designed to market experiential learning and engagement at YSU across the college and division. Regularly communicates with supervisor and other staff, including student workers, as required or needed in the completion of daily tasks in support of the department's/division's overall goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains accurate records of daily tasks in accordance with the department's/division's (or University's) policies and procedures and assures timely communication with supervisor, staff, and students where appropriate. Gathers data and prepares reports and other information/documentation for supervisory review?related to the department's/division's programs and/or services, or one or more assigned components thereof. Prepares for and attends events. Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; participates in staff development activities; attends meetings, conferences, and other events.
